Heyyyy all, today i have something really interesting about gota patti to share with you all.
There are a lot many types of motifs in gota patti. I found them really interesting and inspiring.
1) Pahad- This design is known as Pahad because it is shaped as the mountain and mountain in hindi is known as Pahad.

There are a lot many types of motifs in gota patti. I found them really interesting and inspiring.
The design and motifs are inspire by nature like birds (peacock, parrot, sparrow), human figure( Bani thani),
animals (elephant, horse). The contemporary design like paisley, geometrical, palanquin, checkerboard are also in
fashion. These motifs are structured into buta, butties and cut into various shapes likes flower pot (Gamla), Keri
(Mango) and champak flower, and stitched with the base fabrics by chain stitch or by hemming.
2) Temple - This design is known as Temple because it is shaped as Kalash, a vessel
placed on the top of the Temples. As Kalash is an important part of every
temple.
3) Kali - This design is named as Kali because it looks like bud of the flower. And bud of the flower in hindi is known as Kali.
4) Boota - It is a design which is inspired by flower and are bigger than one and a half inch than any other design.
5) Booti -The only difference between Boota and Booti is that design of Booti is equal or small than one and a half inch. To make it more attractive they place cuttings of coloured fabric and place it on Gota Patti.
6) Lehar -This is known as Lehar because it looks like wave and wave in Hindi is known as Lehar.
7) Taj - Famous dome of Taj Mehalis embroided on fabric that is why the design is known as Taj.
